Passive vs Active Transport

- Passive uses channels to transport materials from high to low areas of concentration.
- Passive requires no additional energy
- Examples of passive transport are Facilitated Diffusion, Channel Diffusion, and Simple Diffusion.
- Two types of active transport are primary active transport, and secondary active transport.
- In active transport material can go from low to high concentration using pumps.
- In active transport, a source of energy is required to move materials.
